Kristen and I about to enter the Jazz & Heritage Festival. Among dozens of other acts on this day, we saw the first public concert of Bruce Springsteen and the Seegar Sessions Band. Last encore was Bruce singing “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Far and away, the greatest road trip in the world. I tell everyone with whom I am close to take a Friday and Monday off from work, the last weekend in April, and go to Jazz Fest. Few have taken me up on the suggestion, but, to a person, those that have always go back. I am privileged and fortunate to be have been exposed to New Orleans culture and can’t wait to go back once again.
